"You know," Steph teased her, reaching out to bop her on the nose with one fingertip, "if this was to make sure I didn't try to get out of doing the dishes, you didn't have to worry about that."

She settled back down in her chair to finish her dinner, which was going to be a challenge since she was still cradling Vi in one arm.

"Well, at least this should go better than last time, when it was me."

On the upside, they'd probably just dodged an argument over how Vi should go on the break trip because even if it was about to be that week, Steph would be okay, really.
