29 Chimera Court, Monday Morning

Vi had had a had a big weekend planned even more she'd turned into a tiny kitten. Once she had, it'd turned into an even bigger one, even if she'd missed out on all the parts that required heavy lifting. So now she was curled up on the bed, in a deep sleep that belied the fact she'd been zooming around the apartment barely a quarter of an hour ago.

Somehow, despite being the tiniest of tiny kittens, she was taking at least two-thirds of the bed. possibly more.

Still half-asleep, Vi stretched to meet Steph's hand, emitting a soft, buzzy purr.

Steph didn't have to be awake to start stroking Vi's back, grinning into her pillow at the familiar rumble of a purring kitty.

She mumbled something unintelligible into the pillow, though the affection in it still managed to come through.

Vi stretched luxuriously, because that hit the spot. The spot being much larger as Vi turned back mid-stretch.

It was the sudden absence of fur beneath her fingers that startled Steph awake, go figure.

"Vi?" she mumbled, raising her head... and immediately starting to topple over the side of the bed.

Vi blinked awake, eyes widening further as she realised Steph was going over the side.

"Steph!" She lunged across the bed, trying to haul her back before she fell.

Steph flailed her hand up to catch Vi's wrist just after tipping over the edge, which wasn't quite enough to keep her feet from hitting the floor but did let her scramble back up onto the bed easily instead of landing in an unceremonious heap.

"My hero," she said dryly, flopping back down next to Vi.

"I got you," Vi said as she wrapped herself around Steph.

If her tone was a bit more sincere than teasing, well who was gonna call her out on it?

"I know," Steph said, lightly but with just as much sincerity, as she snuggled into Vi. Then, in a more mischievous tone: "We need to discuss your timing, though."

Vi pressed her face into the crook of Steph's neck and groaned. "I missed all your Pride stuff."

All the guilt she hadn't felt as a kitten came crashing over her.

Steph winced and wrapped both arms around Vi.

"You know I'm basically obligated to give you shit about it, right? I know it's not your fault. I'm just sorry you missed out."

But also she'd been extra exhausted last night, thus the heavy sleeping.

"I’ll make it up to you," Vi promised, nuzzling her neck. "But, you know I did have a pretty great time."

Especially when she'd managed to nestle herself in Steph's cleavage.

"I noticed," Steph said in a deadpan voice, running her hand down along Vi's spine. "I have the claw marks to prove it."

Like in her cleavage, yes.

Vi gave Steph her most earnest expression. "Kiss them all better?"

Especially the ones in her cleavage.

Steph beamed at her and leaned in to kiss the tip of her nose. "That's entirely acceptable, yeah. Welcome back, by the way."

Vi grinned back, wrinkling her nose, and starting to press light kisses on any viable scrapes and scratches.

"It's good to be back."

"Yeah." Steph nuzzled into Vi's hair and kissed the top of her head before making a show of sniffing at it. "And you don't even smell too bad this time! Congratulations."

Oh, somehow Vi's mouth must have slipped and nipped Steph. How terrible.

"So you're saying you don't want to have a shower with me?"

"Don't put words into my mouth," Steph objected with as much overly exaggerated dignity and affront as she could muster. (Which was a pretty good bit.) "In no way did I ever imply that you had to be completely disgusting for me to shower with you."

Honestly it wasn't like they even needed an excuse, but it was fun to come up with them sometimes.

Vi laughed and pressed a kiss between her breasts. "I mean, I could always make sure we're really gross and sweaty."

"Oh, I'm not worried about that. It's practically guaranteed," Steph said airily. Her hand drifted ever so casually down Vi's back to cup her bare ass. "You could almost say it's expected."

"And it's very important I live up to your expectations," Vi said, kissing her way to one nipple, her hand coming up so her thumb could circle the other. "Or down as the case may be."

"See, you have standards. That's one of the reasons I love you," Steph murmured, giving Vi's ass the lightest of smacks as she arched up into her touch.

Vi's hips reflexively rocked against Steph as she groaned around her nipple. "Here I thought it was the sex," she teased, grinning at her.

Steph snorted, sliding her free hand into Vi's hair and holding her as closely as she could.

"No, the sex is a major perk of loving you, obviously. I wouldn't think you were as hot if you didn't have standards."

Vi let her chin rest on Steph's breast as she looked up at her adoringly. "It's amazing how you meet all of them," she said. "Love you too."
