29 Chimera Court, Monday Morning

Vi had had a had a big weekend planned even more she'd turned into a tiny kitten. Once she had, it'd turned into an even bigger one, even if she'd missed out on all the parts that required heavy lifting. So now she was curled up on the bed, in a deep sleep that belied the fact she'd been zooming around the apartment barely a quarter of an hour ago.

Somehow, despite being the tiniest of tiny kittens, she was taking at least two-thirds of the bed. possibly more.

"Whatever my girl wants," Vi promised, carefully putting Steph down in front of the shower and reaching across to snag her toothbrush.

Steph blew a kiss at her and got the water running in the shower, then kicked off her sleep shorts and came over to wrap her arms around Vi from behind. "But what does my girl want? That's what I want to know."

Vi leaned back against Steph as she brushed her teeth. "I mean I've already got a hot, naked girl with her hands on me."

"Are you saying I'm good at anticipating your needs?" Steph trailed light kisses down the length of Vi's spine, one hand drifting up to cup her breast while the other traced the contours of her abs.

"Yeah." The word came out in a sigh, Vi's muscles tensing under Steph's touch "The best."

"I've had a lot of practice." Steph let her hand trail down ever so slightly and teasingly, circling Vi's navel a few times and stopping short just before her fingertips might have slipped between her legs. "At least I can stop carrying around a change of clothes for you now. I was so worried you were going to change back in the middle of the park or something."

Vi let out a needy little whine that didn't sound at all frustrated.

"You take such good care of me," she said, half-earnest, half-sardonic.

Steph smirked against Vi's back before raising her head.

"Oh, I know. I do my best," she said, gently nudging Vi in the direction of the shower. "Have to make sure you pace yourself and everything, you know."

"But I have plenty of stamina," Vi protested, even as she followed Steph's lead.

"And I like to make sure it lasts as long as possible," Steph replied, shoving Vi ever so gently into the shower. "For both of our benefit."

Vi turned once she was in, trying to pull Steph in against her. "Hey."

"Yes, dear?" Steph asked, fluttering her eyelashes ridiculously at Vi as she pulled the door shut behind them.

"I love you," Vi replied, leaning in to kiss her.

Steph laughed and wrapped her arms around Vi's waist as they kissed, not caring if there was water dripping into her eyes.

"I haven't heard that in like four whole days. I missed hearing it... and I love you too."

"I'll keep saying it then," Vi said, beaming into the kiss. "Because I do."

"I'll enjoy hearing it every time." Steph tried to maneuver them so that Vi was directly in the stream of water, which would have been a lot easier if she'd been willing to disentangle herself from Vi for half a second. Which she obviously wasn't. "And I'll keep telling you I love you right back, because I do."

One day Vi would probably stop looking gleefully pole-axed by Steph saying that, but not today. On the other hand, it made her easier to move around. "You do?"

Steph beamed adoringly at her as she reached up with a handful of shampoo to start washing Vi's hair. "Hell yeah, I do. More than I ever thought I could love anyone."

Vi leaned in to kiss her again, full of feeling, her hands resting on Steph's hips.

Steph's fingers flexed in Vi's hair, but she kept massaging gently at Vi's scalp as she worked the shampoo into a lather, all while kissing her back. They were very good at this by now.

They got a lot of practice in. Vi reached for the soap, hands moving the bar over Steph's skin in long, smooth motions.

They were incredibly dedicated to their craft, that was all.

"Head back," Steph murmured eventually, her usual signal to Vi that she was about to start rinsing the shampoo out, so she should lean back into the spray again.

It did mean she had to stop kissing Vi for a few agonizing seconds, but she'd settle for getting a good eyeful of naked girlfriend to tide her over in the meantime.

Unfortunately Vi had to close her own eyes as she leaned back into the water as the only eyeful she'd have gotten was of suds.

Truly, no one had ever been deprived as she had.

Saffron might beg to differ, but she would concede the point to her beloved Snuggle Human.

"Love you," Steph murmured, trailing kisses over Vi's collarbone as she made quick work of rinsing her hair out. "God, you're gorgeous."

Luckily, Vi didn't need to see to trace her fingers up along Steph's ribs and sweep her thumbs over her nipples.

"I'm not the only one," she murmured, eyes still closed.
