29 Chimera Court, Monday Morning

Vi had had a had a big weekend planned even more she'd turned into a tiny kitten. Once she had, it'd turned into an even bigger one, even if she'd missed out on all the parts that required heavy lifting. So now she was curled up on the bed, in a deep sleep that belied the fact she'd been zooming around the apartment barely a quarter of an hour ago.

Steph grinned and tried to capture Vi's mouth with her own before she could pull away.

Vi smiled against her lips, reaching up to cup her face.

"Good thing you make me happy then," she said, soft and sincere.

"That's because you make me happy, so it's easy." Steph leaned into Vi's touch and tangled their feet up together. "You just make my life easier in so many ways and I'm so, so grateful."

Still kissing her, Vi reached for the blankets to tuck in around them. "Anything you need from me, it's yours," she said, possibly a bit too sincerely.

Steph didn't have to stop kissing Vi to reach back and arrange one of the pillows more comfortably beneath their heads; she could probably do that in her sleep by now.

"Just keep being your wonderful, amazing self, Vi. Long as you keep letting me love you, that's all I really need from you."

"Don't think there's any danger of that not happening," Vi said, snuggling in even closer (somehow) to Steph.

"Good, because it's not like I can help it anyway." At least with Vi this close, Steph didn't even have to lean in to kiss the tip of her nose, then her lips. "Loving you's my third basic need, you know, behind eating and sleeping."

Vi planted sweet, lazy kisses along her jaw mostly just for the sake of it. "Definitely don't want you to miss out on those."

"Always looking out for me." Steph ran her fingertips idly up and down the side of Vi's neck. "Best girlfriend in the damn world."

"Second best," Vi protested, even as her eyes slid half-closed and she made a purring noise.

"Best to me," Steph pointed out, then took a moment to make sure they were thoroughly entangled in each other. Which they were, and had been for a while.

She relaxed back onto the bed.

"Love you so much, Vi."
