29 Chimera Court, Saturday Morning
Vi and Steph had been planning on going to the dance last night, but then they'd gotten dressed for the dance last night, and, well, it's not like they didn't have a tendency to get distracted even when they weren't completely and utterly doused in pollen.
So, no, they hadn't made it to the dance last night. They hadn't even made it to the front door.
They had, however, eventually made it to the bed, where Vi now snuggled in closer to Steph, eyes still firmly closed.

"Morning, babe," she said in a voice roughened by... more constant use than normal. "That was a good fuckin' night."
Literally and figuratively.

"Yeah, it was," she told Steph's collarbone, following up with a soft kiss. "Hope my date doesn't mind me standing her up."
Just because they weren't pollen-addled any more didn't mean either of them had to be sensible.

Steph snickered. "Or lying her down."
She was hilarious, shut up. And if it had at all occurred to her what usually happened after a week of even less ability to keep their hands off each other than usual, she wasn't thinking about it.
no subject
Of course not. If either of them had given it more than a passing thought, that might imply they actually expected it to happen again.

Steph let out a pleased sigh and traced an apparently very intricate pattern over Vi's skin with her fingertips. "Doing all the things in every physically possible position and then maybe a couple of impossible ones." She kissed the top of Vi's head and added, "Just lying here together like this, though... I did miss it."

"Yeah, we kind a got distracted from it last week," Vi said with a throaty chuckle, hand smoothing along Steph's skin. "A lot."
no subject
"It was a very nice distraction, to be clear," Steph replied. "But now I'd be completely down for a lazy day of quality non-sexy naked time with you."
It was cute how they were about to walk face first right into the weekend.

Vi stretched out with more of that laziness that she was planning on indulging in. "I don't know about you, but for some reason, I have a lot of sore muscles that need a rub down."
They had only themselves to blame. For real.
no subject
"Yeah? Me too. Crazy, right?" Steph gave Vi a ridiculously exaggerated wide-eyed look. "Good thing I can give you that rub down and it won't immediately morph into much sexier things."
Immediately, she'd said, because even under the circumstances she couldn't rule it out entirely. She'd met them.
"Hell, we might even take a shower, which we kind of desperately need, without ending up needing another one before we even get out of the first one."
Considering the sudden rattling of the doorknob, they might not even get that desperately needed shower.
no subject
"Immediately," Vi repeated with a grin, because she had also met them. "We'll save so much on our water bill."
Did Vi's shoulders collapse in frustration or relief when she heard the door? Yes.
